Khao Yai National Park

Located in the west of the Sankamphaeng mountain, mostly belong to Nakhon Ratchasima Province (Khorat), this is the third largest park in Thailand with an area about 300 km2, including mountain forests and grasslands. The average altitude in the park ranges from 400-1000 m above sea level, the highest of which is Khao Rom mountain (1,351 m).


It is home of 3,000 species of plants, 320 species of birds such as red Jungle Fowl (a type of red jungle bird) and Coral-billed Ground-cuckoo (a bird in the cuckoo family), 66 species of mammals including black bears, elephants, gaur, gibbons, deer, Indian, pig-tailed macaque ....
